Heater recommendations vary between brands because manufacturers use different room-volume calculations, stone capacities, airflow systems, and control configurations. Use only a heater or complete sauna package approved for the E8.

Electrical Requirements

• The sauna heater requires a dedicated 240V electrical circuit in most residential installations.
• Breaker size, conductor size, disconnect requirements, and control wiring depend on the selected heater.
• Certain heaters include built-in controls, while others require a separate controller, temperature sensor, contactor box, or Wi-Fi control module.
• Saunum heaters require additional brand-specific connections for the controller, sensor, and air-circulation system.
• The included LED lighting requires access to a properly protected 120V AC receptacle for its 90W low-voltage power supply.
• All heater and lighting connections must follow the selected manufacturer’s instructions and applicable electrical codes.

A licensed electrician must determine the final circuit, breaker, conductor, grounding, disconnect, GFCI, and control requirements before installation.

Site Requirements

• Install on a flat, level, stable, and well-drained base.
• The base must support the 1,345-pound sauna plus the heater, stones, occupants, and accessories.
• Suitable bases may include a reinforced concrete pad, properly constructed deck, pavers, or another continuous load-bearing platform.
• Maintain all heater clearances specified by the selected heater manufacturer.
• Plan an appropriate discharge location for the sauna’s dual floor drains.
• Maintain access for assembly, electrical service, drainage, ventilation, and future maintenance.
• Keep vegetation, sprinklers, standing water, and combustible materials away from the sauna.
• Install the included heater guard only after confirming the heater’s required position and safety clearances.

The SaunaLife E8 ships by LTL freight because of its size and weight.

Inspect the shipment before signing the delivery receipt. Photograph the pallet and packaging, and note any visible damage, punctures, crushing, broken glass, missing pieces, or shortages on the carrier’s bill of lading. Contact Core Human Health promptly if damage or missing components are discovered.

SaunaLife describes the E8 as suitable for approximately one day of assembly by two capable adults. Actual assembly time varies based on experience, site conditions, weather, electrical preparation, and available assistance. Because of the E8’s extended length and heavy components, additional assistance or professional installation may be helpful.

Foundation construction, unloading beyond curbside service, movement to the final installation location, electrical work, heater installation, permits, and exterior finishing are not included unless specifically stated in the order.

Manufacturer Warranty

The SaunaLife E8 is covered by SaunaLife’s current two-year limited residential warranty against defects in workmanship under normal conditions of use. Coverage applies to the original retail purchaser when purchased from an authorized reseller.

The warranty does not generally cover normal wear, natural wood characteristics, weathering, discoloration, improper assembly, commercial use, misuse, unauthorized modifications, or damage caused by incorrect maintenance. Installation, removal, delivery, and reinstallation labor are not covered. The sauna heater, controls, lighting upgrades, and other separately manufactured components may carry their own warranties.

Returns

Return requests must generally be submitted within 30 calendar days of purchase. The sauna must be new, unused, uninstalled, and retained in its original packaging with the pallet, manuals, hardware, and all included components.

Prior written approval and a Return Authorization number are required. The customer is responsible for return freight charges on buyer-remorse returns. Repackaging or reboxing fees may apply when the original packaging is incomplete.

Care Guidelines

• Apply the included paraffin oil to the benches and backrests according to SaunaLife’s care instructions.
• Wipe seating and interior wood with a clean, damp cloth after use as needed.
• Allow the sauna to ventilate and dry thoroughly after each bathing session.
• Keep both floor drains clean and unobstructed.
• Use only clean water on sauna stones unless the heater manufacturer approves another product.
• Do not clean the sauna interior with a pressure washer or running hose.
• Use only sauna-safe cleaners and avoid harsh chemicals, bleach, ammonia, or abrasive products.
• Clean the glass door with a soft cloth and non-abrasive glass cleaner.
• Inspect the roof shingles, drip edges, barrel bands, door hinges, benches, vents, fasteners, and heater guard regularly.
• Check and rearrange sauna stones periodically, replacing cracked or deteriorated stones as directed by the heater manufacturer.
• Natural checking, grain variation, knots, and gradual color changes are normal characteristics of real wood and are not necessarily defects.
